Activities Updates In April, REAL Women of BC presented a brief to the Justice Committee on Marriage supporting the traditional heterosexual definition. Please see the website to read the brief. In May we held our AGM with guest speaker Cindy Silver, a lawyer and School Trustee in North Vancouver. In July, one of our members wrote a letter critiquing a "National Plan of Action for Children" (called the NPA) and submitted it to Senator Landon Pearson’s Office on very short notice. Thanks so much for volunteering! This summer, volunteers are redesigning our website! We are also training a new volunteer to take over sending out the e-mail Alerts. On August 16 REAL Women of BC was one of the guest speakers at the Rally for Marriage at the Supreme Court of BC, 800 Smythe Street, Vancouver. (See below) On August 23, we will be represented on a panel with Mike Martens from Focus on the Family and Graham Wray, a local Christian, on political activism for the newly informed. Thanks to Mr. Wray and the committee for organizing the event.
