Join Us and Make a Difference Have you ever thought that you wanted to get involved in something but were not quite sure what? Are you annoyed, maybe even mad, about the social changes that have taken place over the years? Are you concerned about the future, about your children and grandchildren? Would you like your children and grandchildren to know that you stood up for what was right? Well, now is the time. Join us on the board of REAL Women of BC. We will train you and help you. You only do what you can and what fits in with your schedule. We know your family comes first. Do you have one hour a week to work with REAL Women? Contact the nomination chairperson if you would like to join the board or you have a friend you think would do a fabulous job on the board of REAL Women of BC. MOVING? PLEASE LET US KNOW!! Provincial Rep to the National Board REAL Women of BC is looking for a member who is willing to let her name stand as provincial representative to the National Board. The work is not heavy and does not take a lot of time. Advertisers and Sponsors Thank you so much to those members that have made donations toward our conference. We are still looking for individuals or businesses who would like to sponsor the conference by donating pens, note pads, bags and other items that could be included in the conference packages. We are also still collecting items for our silent auction. We would love to have a wide variety of items for the auction, it makes it so much more fun. Thank you again for your help and generosity in these areas. The University of British Columbia is looking for single mothers to participate in a study. They are looking for women who are single mothers and who have personal experience of living on income assistance. The interviewers are also single mothers who will conduct an interview of 1 to 2 hours every 6 months over a two and a half to three year period.
