Media Release
Vancouver, BC
July 27th, 2006
Public Education in BC has been hijacked. It will quickly be turned into publicly-funded indoctrination by the homosexual juggernaut unless concerned parents, individuals and organizations are given the same concessions of review and recommendation which have been handed to homosexual activists by the provincial government.
The Settlement Agreement, signed by Deputy Attorney General Allan Seckel on April 28, 2006, is the first step toward eradication of fundamental Charter Freedoms for some British Columbians. Charter freedoms of conscience, religion, thought, belief, opinion and expression for parents and students who have rational, moral or religious beliefs or medical concerns that homosexuality is unsafe, unnatural or unequal to heterosexuality will be eroded..
Eventual repercussions will be felt by private schools and home educating families in BC. Provincial Attorney General Wally Oppal assured listeners on AM 1470 "We can't say what will happen a few years (from now)."
CASJFVA and BC Parents and Teachers for Life (BCPTL) have lead the way so far this summer to expose the alarming aspects of this agreement. REAL Women of BC has researched extensively and sought several legal opinions. This Settlement Agreement for BC's Ministry of Education over the signature of Allan Seckel from the department of the Attorney General is alarming.
Oppal invited British Columbians to come forward, to get in touch with the Ministry of Education to be part of the process of revision and review. Contact the Ministry of Education at (250) 387.1977 to tell them you want them to include the coalition including REAL Women of BC in any negotiations in which Corren and Corren are a part of to protect Charter Freedoms for parents and students in BC.
