Scaring kids off drugs and alcohol
The Russians have an unusual way to try and get their kids and young people to stop drinking and taking drugs. Russia has a huge problem with alcohol and drug abuse. About 2 percent of Russians are drug users and alcohol, in particular Vodka, is sold 24 hours a day from kiosks around cities. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, male life expectancy has dropped to 59. Now an unusual exhibition is used to show children and adults the devastating effects of drug and alcohol on unborn babies. Apparently Peter the Great collected deformed human fetuses almost 300 years ago. These preserved mutant babies and body parts are now used as scare tactics to show children (as young as elementary school) and adults what drug and alcohol abuse can do. The Russians are desperate and are trying everything they can to help people.
