Thank you for your generosity In the last REAL NEWS there was an update on the court case regarding same-sex marriages. The appeal to the members of Real Women for funds brought a wonderful, generous response. The financial situation is as follows at this point: for the first court case in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Real Women committed itself to contribute $10,000 toward the costs. For the Appeal of the case, which will be heard in February of 2003, Real Women committed a further $4,000. In total, Real Women has made a commitment to contribute $14,000 toward the court costs. Through the generosity of its members, Real Women has been able to contribute so far $12,000. This leaves an outstanding balance of approximately $2,000. If you are able to help, please make your cheque payable to Focus on the Family but send the cheque to REAL Women, c/o 9484 162A Street, Surrey, B.C. V4N 2B8.
