The Patrick Webb Essay Contest 2003-2004 (deadline for essay submissions: December 15, 2003)
For years now, the Patrick Webb Essay Contest has been a means of encouraging pro-life students to think about and write about topics related to pro-life concerns. This year''s topics for students in Grades 9 to 12 are listed, along with the rules of the contest, on the BCPTL website''s "Events" page (at http://www.bcptl.org/events.htm). The following information comes from North Shore Pro-Life:
"The Patrick Webb Essay Competition invites students to reason about important biomedical issues at a time when the discussion of such controversial issues may not otherwise be a part of their education. First prize winners in each competition will receive $300 with $200 going to those who come second. Prize money is donated by the B.C. Pro Life Society while the North Shore Pro Life Society pays all of the costs for administering the competition. The deadline for submission is December 15, 2003, and the winners will be announced in March, 2004. For more information and for entry forms contact:
The Patrick Webb Essay Competition, P.O. Box 37521, North Vancouver, B.C. V7M 2H0 or call 604-984-9094."
